1.1 INTRODUCTION
In order to ensure maximum operational reliability, CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.. has carefully selected the materials and
components to be used in the construction of the product. Its good performance over time depends on correct use and
proper preventive and periodic maintenance, according to the instructions in this documentation and the accompanying
documentation.
Despite the design and construction precautions, it is of fundamental importance for the correct use, safety, durability
and reliability of the product that the manufacturer's instructions are scrupulously followed and the product is
commissioned in accordance with these instructions and the legal requirements in force in the country of use.
The purpose of this manual is to provide technical information to personnel responsible for the installation, use,
commissioning and maintenance of the product supplied by CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.
The instructions contained herein are intended for all user personnel, who must in any case have basic knowledge of
mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and electronic matters depending on the product purchased, in compliance with the
information provided herein.
The Use and Maintenance Manual contains the information necessary for understanding how the product is
assembled, operated and maintained, in particular: technical description of the various functional groups, equipment
and safety systems, operation, use of the instrumentation and interpretation of any diagnostic signals, main procedures
and information on maintenance work.
For the product to be used correctly, it is assumed that the working and usage environment is suitable for the current
safety and hygiene regulations and in compliance with the requirements and prohibitions in this manual.
1.2 QUALIFICATION OF PERSONNEL
All interactions with the product described herein must be performed by personnel defined in compliance with the
manufacturer's manual. Each procedure is accompanied by a pictogram which indicates the operator considered
most suitable for the tasks to be performed. Below are indications of the qualifications of the personnel required to
carry out the various activities.
Operator
Suitably trained, authorised and qualified user personnel, having fully read and understood this manual in its entirety,
as well as having adequate knowledge and practical experience, who have received the necessary instructions for
the safe use of the product for the activities for which it has been constructed and supplied.
He/she must be able to perform all the operations necessary for assembly/installation, the proper functioning of the
product and for the safety of him/herself or any co-workers.
He/she must have proven experience in the correct use of these types of products and be authorised to operate
them. He/she must be properly trained, informed and instructed in this regard, including by understanding this
manual as well as by attending the courses provided for by current legislation.
In case of doubt, he/she must report any anomaly to his/her superior.
He/she is not authorised to carry out any maintenance activities with the exception of cleaning, lubrication,
blade sharpening, topping up fluids where present and any adjustments allowed to the operator and
described in the maintenance chapter.
Mechanical maintenance technician
Qualified technician able to use the product as the operator (having the profile required above), to work on
mechanical parts for adjustments, maintenance, repairs and can read diagrams, technical drawings and spare parts
lists.
He/she is not authorised to work on electrical parts (if any).
Where necessary, he/she can give the operator instructions on how to use the product properly for production
purposes.
Electrical maintenance technician
Qualified technician capable of operating the product as the operator (having the profile required above), working on
adjustments and electrical parts for maintenance, repair, and replacement of faulty and/or worn parts.
Must be able to read wiring diagrams, verify the correct functional cycle.
He/she may only work in the presence of voltage inside electrical enclosures and/or control equipment if he/she is a
suitable person (PEI) (see EN50110-1 and EN 50110-2).
Where necessary, he/she can give the operator instructions on how to use the product properly for production
purposes.
