6.2 OPERATION
This paragraph sets out the conditions to be met in order to start the product.
6.2.1 PRODUCT START-UP
Once assembled as described in paragraph 5.2, proceed with start-up:
•
Press the 'ON/OFF' switch (5) for at least one second to switch the shear on.
•
When the indicator light (4) comes on a beep will mean that the shear has been switched on correctly and is ready
for use.
CAUTION
•
Before starting the product, ensure that the blades (2-3) are not in contact with foreign bodies and/or
that handling them does not create hazardous conditions
•
Never work on trees or ladders, since it is extremely dangerous.
•
Before starting work with the tool, wear protective clothes. Check that all the safety and protective
devices are functional and correctly assembled.
•
Check that the blades (2-3) are fitted correctly and that the cover (9) is in place. See paragraph 3.3.
•
Check that all the tightening screws are locked correctly. See paragraph 7.1.1 tightening torques.
6.2.2 PRODUCT USE
Once the product has been switched on, as indicated in the previous paragraph, it is mandatory to hold the product
with both hands, the right hand on the control handle (11) and the left hand on the extension pole (9), in order to use
it correctly.
Then use the operating lever (1) by pressing and releasing it quickly twice to enable cutting with opening of the mobile
blade.
Pressing the operating lever (1) for at least three seconds until you hear three long beeps disables the shear.
Releasing the operating lever disables the shear with closed blades.
The shear remains switched on (see Automatic Off Time), but disabled, i.e. blades not working.
To reset the shear for cutting, press the operating lever (1) twice quickly.
Before storing the product after use, make sure the blade (3) is closed to avoid dangerous conditions.
To switch off the shear, press the ON/OFF switch (5) for at least one second.
CAUTION
•
Use the product only for the purposes described under 'Product Description'. Any other use can cause
injury and is prohibited.
