6.2 OPERATION
This paragraph sets out the conditions to be met in order to start the product.
6.2.1 PRODUCT START-UP
Once assembled as described in paragraph 5.2, proceed with start-up:
•
Press the 'ON/OFF' switch (9) for at least one second.
•
The switching on of the LED (8) accompanied by a beep indicates that the tool has been switched on correctly
and is ready for use.
CAUTION
•
Before starting the motor, make sure that the chain is not touching any foreign bodies.
•
Never work on trees or ladders, since it is extremely dangerous.
•
Before starting work with the tool, wear protective clothes. Check that all the safety and protective
devices are functional and correctly assembled.
•
Check that all the tightening screws are locked correctly. See paragraph 7.1.1 tightening torques.
6.2.2 PRODUCT USE
•
Once the product has been switched on, as indicated in paragraph 6.2.1, remove the bar cover (23).
•
A firm grip on the tool is mandatory for proper use. The thumbs and fingers must be properly closed around the
handle.
•
To start the tool, press and hold the locking safety catch (6) and simultaneously press the operating lever (7).
•
By holding down the actuating lever (7), the locking safety catch (6) can be released when the tool is started.
•
When the operating lever is released, the active safety catch engages automatically and the tool stops.
•
Before storing the tool make sure the chain is stationary, switch off the ON/OFF switch, remove the battery and
insert the bar cover to protect the chain.
