5.2.2 CHAIN LUBRICATION RESERVOIR FILLING
IMPORTANT
The tool is supplied with the oil tank empty. The tank must be filled with oil before use. The duration and cutting
power of the chain depend on optimal lubrication.
Perform the following operations in order to fill the oil tank:
➢
Clean the area around the cap (15), in order to prevent dust, chips and dirt from entering the reservoir (14).
➢
Unscrew the oil cap (15) and fill the reservoir with biodegradable chain oil up to approximately 1 cm from
the upper edge; then close the cap. The oil reservoir capacity is approx. 30 ml
➢ The oil will flow on the chain (1) by pressing the pump (A) on the reservoir cap (15). After each refuelling,
run the chain idle for a few seconds so that the oil is distributed throughout the chain.
CAUTION!
Never use the tool without or with a low amount of oil.
Lack of lubrication may cause seizing of the chain
CAUTION!
Do not use salvaged oil. It could damage the lubrication pump.
Use only and exclusively suitable chainsaw chain lubrication oil available on the market. Refer to paragraph
7.3.3 for the required type of lubricant.
IMPORTANT!
Make sure that there is a lot of oil on the chain during use. Regularly check the oil level in the tank (14) which
must never drop below the transparent zone and top up if needed.
If the chain is operated without oil, the chain and the bar will wear rapidly and the service life of the tool
will be reduced.
5.2.3 BATTERY ASSEMBLY
1)
Hold the tool in a horizontal position, as shown;
2)
Make sure you only use batteries that are compatible with the product (see par. 2.2);
3)
Ensure that the battery-side and pruner-side contact terminals are undamaged and clean;
4)
Proceed by inserting the battery (18) into the guides on the bottom of the tool, as shown below; until it is
