4.13.12 RISK OF SCALDING/BURNS
On the cutting area, there is a potential risk of scalding if there is no or inadequate lubrication.
•
Inform the personnel in charge of maintenance or use of the product.
•
Access these areas by first waiting for these parts to cool down and wearing suitable temperature protection
gloves, taking great care.
4.14 ADDITIONAL HAZARD REQUIREMENTS FOR THE USE OF THE PRODUCT
DANGER
•
Never use the product if it is damaged, wrongly regulated or only partially assembled.
•
Do not use the product if the ON/OFF switch does not work correctly.
•
Do not use the product while operating on a ladder, scaffolding or a surface that is not the ground level
and/or not a stable surface.
•
Do not use the product near electrical cables
•
Exercise caution and concentration on the activities you are performing by using common sense and
observing the applicable safety regulations when using the product.
•
Do not touch any type of moving parts, just as it is forbidden to carry out maintenance (routine and/or
extraordinary) with moving parts. It is a mandatory requirement to disconnect power before carrying out any
maintenance activities.
•
It is forbidden to use petrol, solvents or other flammable products to clean or wash the equipment.
•
Do not tamper with, modify and/or by-pass the guards, command, control and safety devices on the product.

During operation and maintenance of the product, use footwear, gloves and goggles or safety screen.
DANGER
Before starting the tool, check that the chain/cutting head is not touching any foreign bodies.
Get into a stable and safe working position, which guarantees perfect balance (for example a flat and dry surface).
Use the product, accessories, etc. in compliance with these instructions and considering the working
conditions and operations to be performed.
Always check before each use that the safety and command and control systems are in perfect working order.
Hold the product firmly using the hand most suitable for the operator, ensuring a firm grip with three
fingers and thumb on the handle and index finger ready to press the operating lever.
Pay particular attention to the handle, which must always be dry, clean (pruning residues, oil, etc.)....
using the PPE provided.
•
Be very careful when cutting bushes or small shrubs, since soft parts may get entangled in the chain and
thrown against the operator (always wear face protection PPE), or cause him to lose his balance.
•
Pay attention to kickback and upwards ricochet movements of the bar. They may cause the operator to
lose their balance or control of the product.
Pay attention when cutting branches under tension, since they may cause loss of control of the product
due to a whiplash effect.
•
Always keep the motor at high speed when cutting
Remove any adjusting key before turning on the tool
•
The chain may create sparks when touching hard materials while working. Please note that it is forbidden to
use the product in potentially explosive and/or classified environments, sparks can cause fires or explosions.
•
Keep the bar and chain clean and sharp
•
Make sure that oil reservoir is always at least halfway full. Lack of oil causes seizing of the chain.
Inhaling atomised oil and/or wooden dust may cause irritation or intoxication of the operator's breathing
apparatus. In case of prolonged ailments, consult a competent doctor.
Prevent any unintentional switch-on of the product. When handling or carrying the product, make sure
that the switch is at OFF position before connecting it to the power source (battery pack).
•
The display flashes, beeps and indicates the type of error to explain why the tool is blocked due to a
malfunction. In this condition, to start the tool back up again refer to the alarm list.
