NOTICE! Damage hazard
Failure to obey the following instructions could result in damage to the pump
or its components.
Keep the drive magnet and impeller assembly away from metal chips,
metal particles, and items with magnetic stripes like credit cards and
computers.
Stop the pump immediately when unusual noise or vibration is heard.
Do not run the pump at less than the minimum flow to avoid pump failure.
Do not operate the pump without liquid in the casing. The exact length
of time the pump can operate dry without damage varies with operating
conditions and the environment.
Do not start or operate the pump with a closed suction valve.
Do not to operate the pump with a closed discharge valve.
While using the pump on variable speed drive, do not exceed the
frequency for which the pump was designed (for example, if the pump is a
0.83 rpm (50 Hz) model, do not exceed 0.83 rpm (50 Hz)).
Ground the pump to prevent static discharge.
Before operating the pump, ensure the electrical continuity throughout the
pumping system and earth ground is 1 Ω or less.
Check the pump for leaks on a regular basis. If leaks are noticed,
immediately repair or replace the pump.
Clean the pump regularly to prevent dust build up.
Do not check the rotation of the motor without completely filling the pump
with liquid, opening the suction and discharge lines, and removing air
from the lines.
Use a power monitor for pumps to stop the pump and prevent damage if
the pump should run dry.

6 Target Group(s)
The mechanical and electrical installation and setup of the device must
be performed by a qualified technician who has demonstrated skill and
knowledge related to the construction and operation of marine equipment
and installations, and who is familiar with the applicable regulations of the
country in which the equipment is to be installed and/or used, and has
received safety training to identify and avoid the hazards involved.
7 Technical description
The major pump parts are glass-filled polypropylene for superior corrosion resistance.
NOTE For best performance, maintain the operation of this pump within the
minimum flow rates specified in
8 Installation
Pumps are designed to encompass a wide range of applications and configurations. The
installer determines various installation factors to fit the application, such as:
• Pump head orientation (horizontal or vertical).
• Mounting location (directly to floor plates, rails with vibration isolators to reduce
noise, platforms, etc.).
• Suitable mounting hardware for desired installation or use.
• Suitable piping for desired installation or use (for example: Schedule 80 PVC, CPVC,
copper piping, stainless steel, flexible hose, etc.).
• Single-phase or three-phase electrical wiring.
